Update 5/14/2020
June Camp Parents~
As we approach the end of the school year, we know that many families are trying to plan ahead for summer. SLGC is not a part of the initial re-opening phase and we do not have a timeline from St. Louis County of when we will be allowed to start hosting programs. With that, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our June 1-5 camp for this summer. We understand this creates a hardship for some families and we appreciate your understanding and patience during these difficult times.
We are still hopeful that we will be able to host camps in August, so we are not cancelling those at this time. Your paid funds for the June camp will automatically be transferred as a credit on your account here at SLGC for future use. If you would prefer a refund back on an original form of payment, please respond to this email or give us a call at 314-968-9494. We still have limited office hours, but next week we can be reached on Monday, May 18th from 1:00-4:00pm or on Wednesday, May 20th from 9:00am-12:00pm.
Thank you so much for your patronage and continued support to our organization.
Update 4/21/20
We here at the St. Louis Gym Centre hope this update finds you and your family well. We are happy to report that everyone on staff is doing just fine. Our directors are in contact with staff regularly and everyone is missing all of you! Several of our coaches have posted videos, exercises and activities to our Facebook page. We hope that you have checked them out! If not (or if you don’t have Facebook), they are also posted in our “Virtual Library”on our website. New videos will continue to be posted!
It is hard to believe that we have been apart for 5 weeks now. Our plan (and hope) to open at the end of the month will be unable to happen due to the latest extension of the stay at home order. It is important for you to know that as a not-for-profit organization we are always mindful of your support. With that support we have been able to provide our entire staff with regular paychecks. We will continue to do so for as long as funds allow.
With the described “indefinite” stay at home order, questions are going to follow. What happens now? What are my options? Will the gym be okay? Is there a plan for re-opening? Hopefully the following information will help alleviate some of those concerns.
~Session 4 is officially cancelled.
~We are now opening summer enrollment to our Session 4 patrons. The schedule is attached to this email. The summer session is scheduled for June 8 through July 31. Your Session 4 payment will be transferred to this summer session.
~If you are unable to attend our summer session, you are also welcome to leave your Session 4 payment on your account with us for any future sessions or events here at SLGC.
~If your enrollment future at SLGC is uncertain at this time your funds for Session 4 are of course fully refundable.
We will begin offering set (but limited) office hours to help process these requests. Please call on Wednesdays between 9:00am and noon with any business. You are also welcome to email slgcinfo@gmail.com at any time with your requests and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Once details about lifting the stay at home order are definitive, we will release any necessary information or changes at that time. Please know and trust that SLGC will re-open and we will be okay!
Your loyalty and support mean so much to everyone here at SLGC. All of our discussions and decisions are made with you and your family as our main focus. Our top priority has always been the safety of your children and that could not be any more true than now. Our staff is eager to get back in the gym but for now, for the safety of our entire community, we stay home.
Until next time, stay well.

Update 3/23/2020
Now that St. Louis County has issued a stay-at-home order for the next 30 days, SLGC will need to postpone the start of Session 4 classes until Monday, April 27th unless otherwise notified.
As situations are constantly changing with the Covid-19 pandemic, we are continually evaluating what is best for our gymnasts and families. Please know every decision we make in regards to the postponement, including make-up days and/or refunds, are all based in the best interest of our families and our employees.
What we are doing over the next several weeks:
~Twice a week, beginning this Thursday, our Preschool and Developmental class directors will be posting videos or different gymnastics skills, exercises and activities to our Facebook page.
~Also posted to our Facebook page will be some gymnastics-based coloring sheets for you to download and print!
~We will continue to monitor this ever-changing situation and communicate any changes to our plans as necessary.
What we are asking of you, our families, over the next several weeks:
~ We are asking that if you are enrolled in Session 4 that you continue to stay enrolled in your class once we are able to open with the expectation that SLGC will be flexible and generous with make-up options and will offer extra “Thank you’s” to be able to complete your “full” session. Options and incentives will be determined and communicated once we know an official return date.
~ If we are able to return on April 27 but the options to complete a full session are not feasible for your family, we ask that you consider accepting a prorated refund for the number of weeks missed that can stay on your SLGC account to be used in the future
~ If a cancellation/refund is necessary for your family, please email us at slgcinfo@gmail.com. If you opt to unenroll, please know that we understand. You know where to find us in the future if you would like to re-enroll!
~ Please stay patient with us. As we are a “non-essential” business, office hours to process any changes/refunds will be very limited. Please contact us a slgcinfo@gmail.com when needed and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
We appreciate your continued support and understanding. As a not-for-profit organization, the safety and well being of our gymnasts, families and staff will always be our number one priority. We are hopeful that these latest decisions will flatten the curve and keep all those we care about safe and healthy, including all of you!
